I got this off of someone else's blog and thought it was amazing. I hope you all enjoy! I guess these girls from what she said are called the "Cactus Cuties" ages 8-13.

me too
Hey I decided to start my own blog...http://deverie.blogspot.com Its kinda boring right now but give it some time.. :)
4TH OF JULY WEEKEND
This is my first attempt at posting on the family blog. I hope I do a decent job. I feel so out of the loop when it comes to this kind of stuff. It is fun to read what others have written.
Our family all got together to enjoy our first "Family Reunion." It was a lot of fun. The kids all arrived on Friday, the 4th and we spent the afternoon chasing kids and dogs. Then we set up our tents in the back yard. It looked pretty cool to have 6 tents in our back yard.
Then when the sun went down, we all walked over by the interstate to find our place to watch the fireworks. They were great as always. Riley covered her ears most of the time, Avery ran to Grandpa and snuggled into his neck right after they started and then fell asleep. Savanna absolutely loved them. After the fireworks, we all walked back and people slowly went to bed.
Saturday, we went to Yellowstone Park. Aimee had never been there, so we all went. We learned one very valuable lesson. When going on a 13 hour drive, and there are little girls, one MUST find a babysitter beforehand and leave them home. They don't remember much of the trip anyway, and they would have been much happier at grandma's instead of cooped up in their car seats for about 9 of those hours. No wonder they were all cranky when we got home.
Sunday morning, we let the girls play in the hot tub. They had so much fun. Avery is a little leary of water, but Riley and Savanna had a ball. Avery walked around the benches in the tub. It was fun to watch. Then we took a family picture when Darren got home from his meetings and after that, Brianne and Charlie headed for home. Chris and Aimee and Brittany and Sean left after church.
We were all exhausted, but I think everyone had a great time.
Jared, congratulations on your baptism. We are sorry we missed it.
Love to everyone, hope to see you all at the reunion.
Love, Darren and Tina

Madison recently participated in the ballet "Sleeping Beauty" along with other dance groups from the Center Stage dance company. Attached are some of the pictures from her performance. The five pictures where she's in the same costume are all from the ballet. The picture where she's in a different costume is from her jazz recital in May. She did an amazing job and is quite the performer.

Baseball is Over!!!

What a summer we have had already! We have been gone everyday of the week to go to a baseball game. Both Cheyenne and Jason played this year. The worst thing is, the day I took the camera to Jason's game was the game that Brad wasn't happy to be there so we don't have any pictures of him just yet.
Jason's team did well. They won only two games, but by the end of the season they beat the team who was in first and lost to the team in 2nd by 1 point. It was fun to see them improve so much.
Cheyenne's team did well. They didn't keep score, but they sure had fun playing. As you can see her favorite postion is catcher. She got hit once, but went right back to playing. She wants to play again next year so we will see how it goes. Not many girls play baseball. We only had two this year and they were on our team.
Now it is time for soccer. The boys are in a tournament this summer. It is right before the family reunion and if they do well we may not be able to make it up until Saturday afternoon. I didn't realize it until after we signed up. Sorry Linette:(
We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and we will see you soon.
Golf Trivia Answer
What is the maximum number of golf clubs a golfer may carry on the course at one time? The answer is 14! I had no idea there was a max but now I know. 45% of the pollers knew the correct answer!
